The Club recently came into possession of some documents and photographs relating to Border City Wheelers activities from 1951. These documents make fascinating reading, and provide a real insight into cycling in the post-war years. Whilst many things have changed, it is incredible to read that many things are also still very similar! Many of the names included are still very familiar to us, through the competitions and trophies we continue to compete for. These documents and photographs are copied here for your information and are well worth the read. Mike Westmorland has also put together some notes, click here to view.
